The Problem We're Working On

India is facing a metabolic health crisis that most of its healthcare system was never designed for. South Asians develop insulin resistance and accumulate visceral fat at lower body weights than other populations — which is why Indian obesity thresholds start at a BMI of 27.5 rather than 30. Millions of people are metabolically unwell while still registering as "normal weight" on a chart.

The conventional answer has been advice: eat less, move more, try harder. That framing ignores the biology and puts the blame on the patient. We think the actual answer is clinical care — proper diagnostics, doctor supervision, medication where it's appropriate, and coaching built around how India genuinely eats rather than a translated Western meal plan. That's the programme we've built, and it's the thing every role here ultimately serves.

Where We Hire

MetaFit is a small team, so roles tend to be broad and ownership tends to be real. We generally look for people across four areas:

• Clinical: Doctors and endocrinology-experienced clinicians who can supervise GLP-1 therapy, interpret metabolic panels, and manage patients over months rather than single consults.
• Coaching & Nutrition: Nutritionists and health coaches who understand Indian dietary patterns — regional cuisine, vegetarian protein constraints, festival seasons — and can build plans people actually keep.
• Engineering & Product: Engineers and designers building the tracking app, care-team tooling, and the systems that let a small clinical team support a large patient base well.
• Growth & Operations: People who can explain a medical product honestly, run supply and logistics reliably, and support patients through a programme that lasts months.

How We Work

• Evidence over marketing. We would rather tell someone they are not a good candidate than sell them a programme that won't work. Everything clinical is reviewed by our medical team before it ships.
• Built for India specifically. Not a Western protocol with the units converted — dosing, diet, pricing, and logistics designed for Indian patients.
• Outcomes are the metric. We measure waist circumference, HOMA-IR, HbA1c, and lean-mass retention, not just weight on a scale.
• Small team, wide scope. If you want a narrowly defined role with a long approval chain, this will frustrate you.
